WWE Hall of Fame 2007 Inductees and Presenters

1. Jim Ross (inducted by Stone Cold Steve Austin) (Not a bad choice)

2. Jerry Lawler (inducted by William Shatner) (STUPID--Originally was Lance Russell but WWE vetoed it because they felt no one would know who Lance was--just the dean of Memphis wrestling broadcasters)

3. The Sheik (inducted by Sabu) (good choice)

4. The Wild Samoans Afa & Sika (inducted by their sons Matt "Rosey" Anoa'i and Sam "Samu" Anoa'i) (I am sure Lou Albano was thought of as a backup)

5. Nick Bockwinkle (inducted by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) (Great decision--this will be the highlight of the night, but probably will not make the TV show)

6. Mr. Perfect Curt Henning (inducted by MLB Hall Of Famer Wade Boggs) (WHY? Just want to ask WHY? again makes no sense to wrestling fans)

7. Dusty Rhodes (inducted by his sons Cody and Dustin Runnels) (good decision)

8. Mr. Fuji (inducted by Don Muraco) (OK not a bad decision either)

HHH WILL RETURN............?

According to Stephanie McMahon's MySpace page.....

I have had SO many people ask me about Pauls return to the WWE. So I am here to tell you all now. He is scheduled to make his return in August in time for SummerSlam.

G4 Network to try hand at Pro Wrestling?

G4 NETWORK LUCHA LIBRE PILOT BEING FILMED THIS WEEK IN TIJUANA: PSICOSIS, CHAVO GUERRERO, LA PARK, JUVENTUD GUERRERA, HUMAN TORNADO & MORE INVOLVED
by Mike Johnson @ 2:00:00 PM on 3/28/2007

The G4 Network, which is based around technology and gaming programming and has been gaining steam in attracting the 18-49 male demographic, will be producing a pilot for a potential Lucha Libre series titled "Viva La Lucha" this Friday 3/30 in Tijuana, Mexico. The idea is to produce a Lucha Libre product aimed for an English speaking television audience.

The one hour pilot will feature several names on top including Juventud Guerrera, Nicho El Millionaro (Psicosis, last seen in WWE), L.A. Park (the original La Parka, who no longer maintains the right to that name), and Rey Mysterio Sr. There are a number of Tijuana area regulars and California indy talents also scheduled for the taping, including several that were involved in MTV Wrestling Society X like Human Tornado, as well as a few names from Mike Quackenbush's CHIKARA promotion in Pennsylvania. Chavo Guerrero Sr. and Larry Rivera (A California-based announcer best known for some funny work in XPW) handling the commentary.

The actual taping will be free at the Tecate Foro/Palenque at Parque Morelos, Tijuana's equivalent of New York City's Central Park at 8:30 PM. The announced lineup for the pilot taping is:

*Disco Machine & Joey Ryan & Karl Anderson vs. Human Tornado & Lil' Cholo & Silver Tyger

*Tazmania & Scream & Viernes 13 vs. Pancho Cachando & Animaniac & Shamu Jr.

*Super Astro & Venum Black vs. Angel Mensajaro & Psycho

*Phoenix Star & Zokre & Cobra II (aka Puma) vs. Los Hego Boys

*Los Ice Creams vs. Jigsaw & Lince Dorado

*Minis: La Parkita & Octagoncito vs. Piratita Morgan & Espectrito

*Xtreme Tiger vs. Mortiz (Note from Mike: This has been a pretty heated feud in Tijuana)

*Rey Misterio Sr. & L.A. Park vs. Nicho El Millionario (Psicosis) & Juventud Guerrera

Aside of the match featuring the WSX talents, I'm not sure which of the bouts are dark matches and which will be part of the actual pilot episode. The WSX wrestlers are absolutely not part of the pilot since contractually they couldn't appear while that project is in MTV limbo. There are also plans to do a "Juice Bar" interview segment with Juventud. It should be interesting to see whether the mic work and backstage segments are spoken in English or Spanish, given the plan to focus on the American audience.

Once the pilot is taped and edited, it will be presented to G4 for potential pick up by the network.

The pilot is being produced by a company titled Masacardo Productions, which is headed by Ruben Zamora, who has promoted Viva La Lucha and Luchamania events in San Diego and other California markets.

Shantelle Taylor, who's been working in the WWE developmental system, has been receiving praise for her athleticism as of late. She recently wrestled on a house show wearing a mask, and nobody knew it was a woman-but believe me, she has the looks to go with her talent.

Before WrestleMania 23 goes live in Detroit, WWE is planning on holding a Tag-Team Battle Royal. Last year for WrestleMania 22 they did the same thing. If this match does take place, it is expected to feature Johnny Nitro, Ric Flair, Carlito, Paul London, Brian Kendrick and others.

A new "Superstar 2 Superstar" feature is up on WWE.com with Jeff Hardy interviewing Saliva lead singer Josey Scott.

News on Samoa Joe & TNA

The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that the general feeling among wrestlers is that Samoa Joe was asked to put over Tomko and Christian Cage as punishment for his comment he used at a Ring of Honor show where he had quote "tripped over bad booking."

When Joe was confronted about the line, he told TNA President Dixie Carter that he was simply cutting a wrestling promo and didn't even have TNA on his mind when he made the comment. However, TNA's creative team wasn't buying that excuse and he was then booked to lose to Tomko and Christian Cage.

While many see this as the situation that went down, Joe apparently isn't showing he is upset over the recent losses in the locker room. One TNA wrestler even described Joe as having a "I don't give a sh*t" type attitude regarding his TNA push and if it will continue or stall some more. The approach isn't just limited to Joe in TNA as many of the younger wrestlers, more specifically in the X Division, share his sentiment because they don't feel the current creative team will ever utilize them the right way.

Smackdown Spoilers

Dark Match

The Major Brothers def. Deuce N' Domino with a rollup

Smackdown Tapings

Smackdown opens up with Edge coming and talking about Money in the Bank. He is supposed to face matt hardy, who comes and interupts him, but edge says he has a
replacement, and Great Khali comes to face matt. He hits the two-hand
chokeslam, and fire comes out of the posts. Kane a ppears in the titatrons,
saying that the time is near, as khali leaves the ring.

Teddy Long is showing talking in is office with Kristal. They talk about some
celebretation with champagne and some stuff like that. I really didn't get
the segment well.

Finlay def. Mr. Kennedy
Back and forth action from both man. Not much crowd reaction until finlay
distracted the ref. Hornswoggle, came witha small ladder, and did his
version of the kenton bomb on ken, and then finlay hits the celtic cross.
Crowd reacted well to the bastard.

MVP def. ?
MVP referred to this guy as the champion of eutopia or soemthing like that.
He looked kinda cannival, and skinny. MVP hits the Playmaker for the win,
and starts saying he will be the next U.S. champion.

Jeff Hardy def. Randy Orton
Orton controlled most of the match, and jeff pulled up his signature moves
too. Better than their singles match from raw last week. Edge comes again to
distract orton and jeff pins him with a roll up. Crowd was really into this
match, specially cheering jeff (including me)

10-diva tag team match
Ashley, Maria, Candice, Torrie, Mickie def. Melina,Victoria, Jillian, Kristal, and Michelle Mccool.
Typical divas match. The heels worked a lot on mickie, until all the hot
tags for candice, torrie and maria who performed their signature moves.
Ashley got the final tag and won with a rollup.

Cm Punk def. King Booker.
Crowd was behind booker. I think it was a very good main event. Booker goes
for the scissors kick, but punk moves and wins with a rollup (lost of rollup
victories on this show)

JBL came to the ring to do the interview of batista/undertaker. Out of
nowhere STONE COLD's musci hits, and the people go nuts, (including me). He
comes, and gives JBL a stunner, then drinks two beers per corner and gives
jbl another stunner. Awesome segment.

Teddy Long comes with many security guards to do the interview himself. He
brings both Batista and the Undertaker, and both got huge pops. Batista says he
already lost respect to taker, and taker remains silence. They start
brawling, with the security, and batista gives taker a huge spinebuster, the
leaves, but taker sits up! Very good segment to warm the match for WM23.

Bam Bam Bigelow Death Ruling

Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 03/27/07
BY STEPHEN EDELSON
STAFF WRITER

Former professional wrestler Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow died of an accidental drug overdose according to the Pinellas-Pasco County Medical Examiner's Office, which released the autopsy results on Monday.

Bigelow, 45, who grew up in Neptune and lived in Monmouth County most of his life, was found dead on Jan. 19 in the home where he had been living in Hudson, Fla., about 40 miles north of Tampa.

"The death was found to be from multidrug toxicity," said Director of Investigations William Pellan. "There was also a contributing factor of cardiovascular disease."

According to a toxicology report prepared by the Pinellas County Forensic Laboratory, Bigelow died from a lethal combination of cocaine, pain-killing medications, antibiotics and a tranquilizer.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Bigelow had been under the care of a pain management physician due to the effects of a 16-year pro wrestling career, which resulted in numerous injuries and surgeries. But he was apparently taking more than the prescribed dosage.

The report indicated that there should have been 47 more pills of the pain-killer Oxycontin from the original prescription than were found at the scene. Methadone was also found in his system.

He had gone through a rehabilitation program for an addiction to pain killers several years ago.

Bigelow, who was diabetic, had been on antibiotics to treat a staph infection on his right leg. The autopsy also revealed the presence of the tranquilizer Benzodiazepine.

According to the initial incident report filed by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the first officer on the scene noted remnants of a kind of steel-wool scouring pad also used to fashion a homemade crack pipe, on a living room table.

In addition to the toxicology report, the autopsy revealed a blockage of the right coronary artery, as well as an enlarged heart.

"The case is pretty much closed now," noted Kevin Doll, director of information for the Pasco County Sheriff's Department.

Bigelow, who placed at the NJSIAA Wrestling Championships in 1978 and 1979 for Neptune High School, began his professional wrestling career in 1985. He remains one of the only wrestlers to have an impact on all three major wrestling groups in this country, in addition to becoming a top draw in Japan.

It's a Tie!

Poll Results "Best Wrestling Hotline":

The Indy Wrestleline: 43%

Diamond Dan: 43%

Bob Rogers' Hotline: 5%

WCWO In Touch Line: 9%

I would have left this poll up longer, but honestly it's pretty much been a tie for the past couple of weeks, and it would probably remain a tie, no matter how long I left the poll up. I'd like to thank everyone who voted in this poll, and congrats to Diamond Dan Garza on sharing the title of Best Wrestling Hotline!

News on Joey Mercury's Release from WWE

There have been several reports circulating around the internet saying Mercury assaulted Stephanie McMahon, those rumors are false.

ECW on Sci Fi Preview for Tonight!

After demolishing Chris Masters on ECW on Sci Fi and Mr. Kennedy & Randy Orton on SmackDown, ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley looked unstoppable on his Road to WrestleMania. But as Mr. McMahon showed on Raw, there’s a good reason why you should not cross the boss. Will Lashley be able to regain some momentum on ECW on Sci Fi with the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23 just five days away?

Also this week on ECW on Sci Fi, the eight Money in the Bank participants will collide in the same ring in the same match. ECW's CM Punk, Edge and Matt & Jeff Hardy will face Mr. Kennedy, King Booker, Finlay and Randy Orton in an Eight-Man Tag Match just days before the Ford Field showdown. Who will gain the upper hand before Sunday?

Speaking of Eight-Man Tag Matches, the New Breed managed to get an edge on the Originals last week when Elijah Burke found a way to top Tommy Dreamer, and Kevin Thorn & Marcus Cor Von defeated Rob Van Dam & Sabu. On the final ECW on Sci Fi before their battle at WrestleMania, Burke and RVD will face off in a battle of the team captains. Which side will seize the momentum before their showdown at WrestleMania?

The tension among the Superstars is high as all roads lead to the grandest stage of them all in Detroit on April 1. Don’t miss the last ECW on Sci Fi before WrestleMania on Tuesday at 10/9 CT.

The Wrestleline Report-Tuesday

WWE RAW Results

In ring promo kicks off the show

(1) Candice Michelle, Ashley, and Torrie Wilson d. Melina, Jillian Hall & Victoria when Ashley pinned Jillian. The Women's Championship match for WM has been made a lumberjack match.

(2) CM Punk d. Kenny Dysktra. Punk won with a knee to the face.

(3) Vince McMahon d. Bobby Lashley after TONS of run-ins, and Umaga attacking Lashley. McMahon didn't actually wrestle, but did give Lashley a low blow from behind, and pinned him-I believe two times.

(4) Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy d. Matt and Jeff Hardy.

Jim Ross was announced as the last inductee for this year's Hall of Fame ceremony

(5) The Great Khali d. Ric Flair via dq, when Carlito came out to help Flair. Post match saw a confrontation between Kane & Khali.

(6) The Undertaker & Batista d. John Cena & Shawn Michaels, after Michaels "turned" on Cena, giving him Sweet Chin Music, and allowing Batista to get the pin. I don't think this storyline between Cena & Michaels has made any sense, as they're already opponents for WM, so why try to make them look like buddies, when they didn't even have a "buddy" relationship in the first place?

CM Punk, Edge and Matt & Jeff Hardy will face Mr. Kennedy, King Booker, Finlay and Randy Orton in an Eight-Man Tag Match tonight on ECW on Sci Fi.

Rob Conway is apparently back in OVW

Topps Trading Cards is producing Bettie Page pin-up girls card collection which will feature Candice Michelle and Christy Hemme.

Mark Henry did return to a WWE ring over the weekend during the Mexican tour.

Chris Masters is undergoing hair restoration treatment.

According to her web site, Lilian Garcia suffered a torn ACL in her recent skiing accident.

Joey Mercury of MNM has been released-not sure what the story on this is, as they've been having him and Nitro tag again more recently.

Andrew "Test" Martin wrestled at a recent Maryland Championship Wrestling event-he'll be appearing once again for the promotion on Apr. 21, taking on their MCW Heavyweight Champ-Adam Flash.

TNA Impact Spoilers!

Welcome to three hours of LIVE SPOILERS from TNA Wrestling in Orlando, FL. By the end of this three show taping we should have a good idea of the Lockdown PPV matches heading to St. Louis on April 15th. Josh Rich, Mike WG, FL Indy wrestler Kahagas, Sean Waltman and legendary Japanese referee and New Japan official Tiger Hattori were in attendance. Despite being a three show taping things moved pretty well as Dave Penzer and Jeremy Borash kept things busy with raffles and talking about the show. No backstage footage was shown so you have to tune in to find out what was filmed including some sort of sit down between Father James Mitchell and Sting.

Hour one results:

During the entire first hour Bob Backlund worked out by Mike Tenay and Don West’s location doing stairs on a block placed in front of him. I think all of us were tired for him as he did it during commercials and the cage teardown.

(1) In a preview of the Lockdown Xscape match, Jerry Lynn defeated Alex Shelley, Sonjay Dutt, the Austin Starr, Petey Williams and Shark Boy.

Why write about it, because there was too much going on. So here’s how the order of elimination went:

**Alex Shelley was eliminated by Shark Boy via pinfall.

**Sonjay Dutt eliminated by Jerry Lynn and the Cradle Piledriver.

** Shark Boy was eliminated by the Austin Starr and the Brainbuster.

** the Austin Starr was eliminated by Petey Williams and the Canadian Destroyer.

Lynn won the match by hitting the floor first but he got leveled by “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels and a baseball bat.

NWA World Heavyweight champion “the Instant Classic” Christian Cage, “the Phenomenal” AJ Styles and “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner made their way to the ring. They were booed as Cage officially made Steiner the third man for his Lethal Lockdown team. Steiner reminded Cage about the title shot he deserved. He also brought out Abyss as the fourth member of Team Cage. Father James Mitchell was with Abyss but not Mom. Styles asked Cage who the fifth member of the team was; Cage said it was going to be a surprise for later. Cage introduced Tomko as the final member of the Team but Tomko didn’t come to the ring when his music played. Finally Tomko came out carrying a house mic. Cage went to hug Tomko but he was stopped in his tracks as Tomko said he didn’t play second fiddle to anyone and wanted his promised title shot. Tomko said before he joins any team he wanted his title shot TONIGHT. Before Cage could finish his next sentence Kurt Angle, Rhino and Samoa Joe came out to the rampway. Angle said to Tomko that Cage has been a lying asshole about his title shot. Angle said he would promise a shot at Cage if he joined Team Angle. Tomko said he didn’t know who to trust and that brought Jim Cornette to the ringside area. Cornette said there would be match to determine what team Tomko would be part of at Lockdown. Cage tried to talk his way out of it but Tomko said Cornette had a deal.

Mike Tenay and Don West talked to the home fans.

(2) “Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm (w/“the Pride of Tennessee” Jacqueline Moore) defeated “Showtime” Eric Young.

Young came out minus the Robert Roode Inc. clan for this encounter and faired well with dropkicks. That ended when Storm backed him to a corner and laid in some punches. The assault continued as Storm used the ropes to blind Young and hit a running boot to the face from the floor onto the ring apron. Young recovered with a discus clothesline and a belly to belly suplex for two. Young blocked the superkick and hit a back suplex but Moore stopped a top rope move and sent Young falling into the ring and right into Storm’s superkick. As soon as the bell rang “Wildcat” Chris Harris and Gail Kim hit the ring fighting their way to the locker room. Roode and Ms. Brooks came out and lambasted Young for the loss telling Young he had no real friends. Petey Williams proved that wrong when he hit the ring to attack Roode.

Tenay and West talked to the home crowd once more before out main event.

(3) In a match to win Tomko’s services at Lockdown, Team Angle’s Kurt Angle defeated Team Cage’s Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell).

Tomko sat at ringside during this interesting matchup. Angle got a single leg takedown and went after the left knee of Abyss. Abyss tried to get away but Angle clipped him only to be leveled by Abyss. Angle quickly recovered and got the Ankle Lock but Abyss got to the ropes as Christisn Cage came out to give a pep talk. Angle chased Cage around the ring but forgot Abyss’ location and got a boot right in his face. Abyss slammed Angle’s face into both sets of ringsteps before entering the ring once again where he hit a Davey Boy Smith style suplex. Angle escaped a neckvise and traded forearm shots with Abyss before hitting a German suplex. Abyss escaped the Olympic Slam and went for Shock Treatment but Angle countered into an Ankle Lock but Abyss refused to submit even as Earl Hebner had Angle shoved into him. Abyss hit the Black Hole Slam as Rudy Charles slid in for a two count. Abyss wasted time before his attempted chokeslam and it cost him the match as Angle won with a rolling pin. Tomko walked into the ring and decked Angle with the contract. Rhino came out to fight along with AJ Styles and then Samoa Joe. Scott Steiner came from the side of the broadcast table. In the end Team Cage stood tall over the three members of Team Angle.

Hour two results:

In the ring was stuff you would find out on a road construction site for an 8 Mile Street Fight.

(1) In an 8 Mile Street Fight, “War Machine” Rhino defeated Tomko.

This match began in the backstage area with tons of weapons lining the walls of the Impact Zone. They fought from one side of the building to the other and into the fans who avoided the action as best they could. After the fight in the fans the action came back to ringside where Tomko slammed Rhino’s head into the ringsteps. Rhino recovered and went under the ring for a garbage can, chairs, a table and a traffic cone. The fight finally entered the ring where Tomko hit Rhino with a trash can lid and a large traffic barrel. Rhino returned fire with a chair shot to Tomko’s back and a traffic cone to the head. Rhino grabbed a trash can but Tomko kicked into Rhino’s face. Tomko cleared the ring of the DOT items and went back to work on Rhino’s back with a trash can. Rhino grabbed the table and set it up in a corner but Tomko fought even as Rhino got a waistlock and drove Tomko into the table. Abyss came out and went to hit Rhino with a chair but missed and decked Tomko who got hit with a GORE!! After the bell Abyss got back in the ring but Kurt Angle came out with Samoa Joe to beat down Abyss. Christian Cage, Scott Steiner and AJ Styles came out to once again have the 5 on 3 advantage. To sum things up “the War Machine” won the battle but not the war.

During the break Rudy Charles handed off a book to speed read as the climbing continued.

(2) In a non-title match, Voodoo Kin Mafia (Kip and BG James w/Lance Hoyt) defeated NWA World Tag Team champions Latin American Xchange (“Notorious 187” Homicide and Hotstuff Hernandez w/Konnan & Machete) via DQ.

Before the VKM got to the ring Christy Hemme had words with them but was once again was carried off by Hoyt. The LAX fans chanted D-X rejects as Hernandez beat down BG. Homicide tagged in and hit a top rope elbow for two. LAX kept making tags wearing out BG as Kip could only watch. BG finally got a boot into Hernandez’s face and tagged out to Kip who took on the LAX by himself. VKM got rid of Homicide and went for the One and Only but other LAX members hit the ring causing a DQ. Team 3D came out to even the sides and accepted the Lockdown electrified cage match. Ray said after Lockdown 3D would have the belts and LAX would be back in Tijuana selling their mom’s for cab fare.

(3) In a submission match, the Austin Starr defeated Senshi.

This was interesting as Backlund stopped reading to watch the match and both men had to remember not to go for a pin. Things left the ring as Starr hit a between the ropes dive into Senshi’s chest. The action came back as Starr went for the Chicken Wing but couldn’t get it locked; instead he hit his rolling elbow drop. Starr locked in what looked like chinlock with a leglace. Starr escaped a Dragon Sleeper but his superplex was blocked but Senshi missed Warrior’s Way. Starr locked in a half crab and while Senshi refused to submit Backlund left his steps and like Arnold Skaaland in December 1983, threw in the towel for Senshi.

TNA management’s Jim Cornette called a full locker room town meeting in the Impact Zone. It seemed this was a clarification of the Lockdown PPV which is listed at the completion of this report. Cornette actually accused Cage of pulling a Max Bialystock. He declared that whoever wins the pinfall in the Lethal Lockdown match gets the shot at the NWA World Heavyweight title at Sacrifice on May 13th. As the meeting ended the lights went out and came up to find Sting in the ring attacking Team Cage.

Hour three results:

Team Angle came out into the ring to talk. They were sporting Lockdown events shirts (probably available at www.tnawrestling.com ) Sting said he was sorry he didn’t return Kurt Angle’s phone calls and he truly loved TNA Wrestling. Sting wanted Angle to reveal the final member but he refused. Samoa Joe said he was losing faith in Angle about who the fifth person was. Angle said by the end of the hour we would all know who number five is (hopefully not Johnny 5 of Short Circuit fame.)

Between this and the opening match Borash brought out Kevin Nash who said he had a surprise, he was wearing a cup. He was actually out to introduce his protégé “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal.

(1) In a non-title match, “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal (w/his hair out of the braids and was in full “Macho Man” regalia) defeated World X Division champion “the Future” Chris Sabin.

Sabin was not impressed by the new look of Lethal. As Sabin laid in some offense Lethal fired back with a rope hot shot and a top rope double ax handle. A second trip up top was stopped by Sabin with a dropkick to the chest for a two count. Sabin got Lethal on the mat and hit a Garvin Stomp like move with a senton for two. Lethal escaped a chinlock but Sabin grabbed the hair and backed Lethal to a corner. Lethal fired back with right hand punches and a short arm elbow before a clothesline for two. Not to be out done Sabin hit a tornado DDT for two. Sabin got in a move but Lethal hit a chain of moves before hitting the top rope elbow and pinning Sabin.

Mike Tenay and Don West ran down the full Lockdown card for the home crowd.

(2) Robert Roode (w/Ms. Brooks) and “Pride of Tennessee” Jacqueline Moore defeated Petey Williams and Gail Kim.

Kim didn’t wait for the bell as she attacked Moore on the ring apron while Roode and Williams fought on the floor. Roode got rid of Williams for a moment and hit Kim with a back suplex. Williams returned to the ring to attack Roode with all he had as Kim rolled to the floor to recover. Referee Andrew Thomas looked like he was trying to get Kim to head to the locker room but she charged the ring and Moore. Williams was going for the Canadian Destroyer when James Storm hit the ring to distract Williams. It worked as Williams was rolled up for the pin by Roode. Chris Harris came out to attack Moore and Storm. Eric young came out with a chair which sent Storm and Moore running for the hills. Just when it looked like Roode was next he grabbed the house mic and ordered Young to put the chair down.

The NWA World Tag Team champions Latin American Xchange (“Notorious 187” Homicide and Hotstuff Hernandez w/Konnan on crutches) came out to the ring dragging Brother Runt who had his mouth taped up. By mistake Konnan used the WWE name for 3D as he said LAX was looking for them tonight. They decided to make an example of Brother Runt for all the things the US government has done to Latin people. He decided to use a taser gun on Runt to show what the electrified cage was going to do to a human body. But before that happened Team 3D came out and asked LAX to let Runt go. LAX decided to shoot first and ask questions later, sending many volts into Runt’s body. The TNA medical trainer had to come out and remove the taser tips out of Runt’s body before moving him to the back for what might be additional treatment.

(3) Team Angle’s Samoa Joe defeated Team Cage’s “Phenomenal” AJ Styles

By winning this Team Angle has the numbers advantage until the Lethal Lockdown cage is lowered on top. Styles new cockiness was on full display during this match even as Joe attacked the legs of the former Triple Crown winner. Just when it looked like Styles was going to hit a dropkick Joe sidestepped and Styles hit canvas. Styles went for a suplex but couldn’t get Joe up; instead Joe hit a face front suplex. Styles fought back and knocked Joe down with a flying forearm to the jaw. Somehow Styles was able to slam Joe and hit a knee drop for two. Styles kept the offense going with shoulder blocks in a corner as Joe fought out but Styles hit a dropkick to Joe’s left knee. Styles followed with a flying forearm into a corner but Joe fought back with punches and elbows and his standing STO in a corner. Joe hit Styles with a series of forearm smashes and a powerslam for two. Styles avoided a corner move and hit a floatover inverted DDT for two. Joe went for a second rope kick but Styles pulled Andrew Thomas in front and it knocked him down. Joe hit a running knee to the corner but Styles escaped the Muscle Buster into a rollup but Joe locked in the Kokina Clutch. The other team members fought around ringside as JEFF JARRETT came out and leveled Styles with a guitar shot heard around the Impact Zone. All the members of Team Angle shook Jarrett’s except for Joe who took some time and Sting who took even longer to trust Jarrett after their storied history. Hell as truly frozen over as the Impact Zone fans cheered Jarrett who has been public enemy number one with the fans since June of 2004 when Impact debuted on Fox Sports Net.

Matches filmed for syndicated TNA Xplosion:

(1) World X Division champion “the Future” Chris Sabin defeated Sonjay Dutt

RAW Preview-Last RAW Before Wrestlemania 23!

Mr. McMahon has promised that the last Raw before WrestleMania will be the biggest one of all time. It is only fitting that the show will air live from Chicago, the home of last year’s WrestleMania.

With two huge main events, it looks like the show will live up to Mr. McMahon’s claims. World Tag Team Champions (and WrestleMania competitors) John Cena & Shawn Michaels will face World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker in a No Way Out rematch. Will the tenuous relationship between The WWE Champ & HBK stay intact?

At WrestleMania, Mr. McMahon’s representative Umaga will face Donald Trump’s representative Bobby Lashley in the Battle of the Billionaires. On Raw, Mr. McMahon himself will go one-on-one with the ECW World Champion. Does The Chairman have what it takes to topple the powerful Lashley?

Former World Tag Team Champions Edge & Randy Orton have also been at each other’s throats of late. Will their partnership continue to disintegrate as the Road to WrestleMania comes to an end?

10-Falls with Scarlett Rose

10-Falls with Scarlett Rose

"No matter whether you are male or female....big or small, there will always be challanges in a pro wrestling career. BUT being the daughter of a professional wrestler (Super Destroyer), adds possibly a little more pressure if you want to be in this business. One of the brighter, young female wrestlers in Indiana is Scarlett Rose. She has shown promoters and fans alike already in her career that she has what it takes to be a successful professional wrestler...."--Randy Klemme

1) How long have you been in the business and where did you receive your wrestling training?

SR: I have been around the business for practically my whole life. My dad is also a professional wrestler, so I grew up watching not only him but a lot of the big named wrestlers come in and out of my house, because my dad knew alot of them. I was the daughter that loved to get in the ring and just play wrestle with my dad and all his buddies, and I think then something inside of my said I wanted to be a wrestler when I grew up. Officailly I have been in the wrestling business for almost 4 years now, and I couldn't be anymore happier.
I received my training from many different people, when I wasn't actually training at the school, my dad and I would actually take me out in our front or backyard and I would train there too. It was always fun, when the cops would show up and the neighbors would tell them I was being abused, but in all reality the cops would watch, cause they knew what was going on already. But honestly, I may be out of my preliminary training, but I am always constantly learning new things, so really, I am never going to be done with my training.

2) What organizations have you worked for and which ones are you currently associated with?

SR: I have worked for:

National Wrestling Coalition (Southern Illinois)
Great American Wrestling (Southern Illinois)
New Championship Wrestling (paris Illinois)
Coliseum Championship Wrestling (Evansville IN).

I currently work for:
Top Notch Wrestling (Indianapolis IN)
Wild Championship Wrestling Outlaws (Indianapolis IN)
NWA Indiana (Lafayette IN)
Kentucky Wrestling Assiociation (Madisonville KY)
PGWA
Crossroads Championship Wrestling (Terre Haute IN)
All American Pro Wrestling (Southern IL)

3) What titles have you held during your wrestling career?

**Former Ladies Champion for TNW and WCWO
**Current KWA Ladies Champion
**2006 Face of the year for ladysports.

4) Which match over your career has been your favorite and why? and who is your favorite opponent to work with?

SR: I really don't think I could possibly pick a favorite match, as long as I am wrestling, I am happy. But currently, my favorite person that I like to work, would be from CCW Terre Haute, her name is Electra Fine, and we just had a match recently and we beat the crap out of each other, and I felt that she was a tough opponent, but yet we could keep up with each other and test each others strengths.

5) Why did you decide to get into the wrestling business?

SR: I remember I was 15 when I decided I wanted to tell everyone that I wanted to be a wrestler. I can still remember everyone's comments. "You wont make it, you can't survive the training and all it takes to be a wrestler." And I just know that I wanted to prove them wrong, and I guess in some ways I did. I made it through training, and I am getting to wrestle some of my mentors. So in a way I have succeeded in more ways than one.

6) What is the toughest thing about being a professional wrestler?

SR: I may have many permanant injuries and I may wake up alot of mornings in pain, because of those injuries, but I still wrestle. I have alot of people ask me if I have those injuries, then why do I still wrestle?? Well that is what wrestling is all about, and if I were to quit because of those injuries, I would basically be proving all of my dad's wrestling buddies right. And that is the best thing, knowing that I proved them wrong.

7) Any good road stories that you can pass along (keep it clean LOL)?

SR: I've done alot of traveling in my days, but I would have to say my favorite would have to be when I did the two shows for PGWA the spring break of my senior year of high school. I got to see all the sites of Tennesee and it was my first real actually traveling show. We actually got lost trying to find the building to the first show. All we knew was that is was right in front of us, but how the heck do we get to it. The street it was on was a one way, and so were the ones around it. That was my most memerable because of the laughter of trying to find it.

8) Are there things that you would like to achieve during your pro wrestling career? Short term and long
term goals?

SR: I cant really honestly say that I want to make it to the WWE or TNA. I just want to make it big Independent wise. I want to be able to say that I am well know by my wrestling ablity, not by well she is on TNA or WWE, so she has got to be good. I want people to love Scarlett Rose just for my wrestling me not for some wrestling name that is behind me.

9) Have you received any important advice from other more famous names in the pro wrestling business and what was that?

SR: I have received alot of advice from alot of people that are famous wise. If I would have to break it down, I would say that the best advice I received from two different guys, one was Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. He told me that yes, wrestling may be a business, but I am young and not to take it too serious. Just go out there and have fun and it will make it worth my while, in my later years.
And the other was one of my good friends and mentors Tracy Smothers. He is always asking me how everything is going with my career and is always telling me how to improve my status, and told me that if I go out there and bust my ass and the crowd responds that I have done something. It is not always about the way you dress that will get you over. Just go out there and have fun and you have done your job for the night.

10) What is the BEST thing and the WORST thing about being a professional wrestler, maybe something that you didn't realize would be that way when you started?

SR: The BEST thing, my fans, I love it when the kids come up to me and tell me that I am their hero and that they wanna be just like me. I am all about the kids when I wrestle. They are my strength in everything that I do in my matches. It's always a good feeling when you hear the little kids in the crowd cheering for you in your matches.

The WORST thing would have to be that I have to work my BUTT off at some shows, to prove to the guys in the back, that I do belong in this business. Yes I may be a girl, and yes I may be a wrestler, but I do have feelings. And it does hurt, when a guy comes up to me and says that there were a million things wrong with my match, just to put me down, after I just got done busting my ass out there in the ring. I've had alot of guys throwing a fit cause I was in the semi-main match to where as I was just on the card at all. I didn't go through all the training to get constantly put down. I would have to say that if I knew that when I first started training, I would have perpared myself for it. But honestly, I don't think there is anyway a girl could prepare herself for that. Honestly, sometimes, I just wish the guys would grow up.

I'd like to pass on a bit of advice I once got , anyone who is interested in getting in the wrestling world should always go by this. If you have a dream then follow it. Don't let anyone stand in the way of you and your dreams. Wrestling is a tough sport, but if you stick it out you will be surprised on how it will turn out.

The Wrestleline Report-Thursday

I guess the whole WWE/steroid situation was brought up on Jim Rome recently, where he was joking that he had no idea pro wrestlers took steroids, then on Around the Horn, they talked about how things needed to go back to the good ol' days of "wrastlin"-using guys like Bruno Sammartino. I couldn't agree more that it wouldn't kill them to be a little more old school.

Edge admitted on his recent blog that he has taken steroids in the past, and it was after he had his spinal fusion neck surgery. He states that he was advised by doctors to take them, as it would aide in the healing process.

As of right now, the ECW New Breeds are supposed to beat the ECW Originals at Wrestlemania. The only one out of the ECW Originals management has plans for is RVD, and that's only so he doesn't sign with TNA. Tommy Dreamer may go back to an office job, but is secure at any rate, as he's buddies with Shane McMahon. Sabu & Sandman are on the bubble right now, and may end up losing their jobs.

For promoters out there wanting to book Kurt Angle, he's not asking much, just about $10,000.

I read something that totally baffled me, on how TNA management has been reacting to recent criticism, namely their last ppv "Against All Odds". Dave Sahadi was reading some reviews, one stating that it was the worst ppv in TNA history, and Jim Cornette asked why they were listening to this, followed by Mike Tenay saying it was because the NY times doesn't cover their ppv's. Ultimately, they all came to the rational conclusion that this was all some sort of conspiracy brought on by people on the WWE payroll.

Apparently at a recent Impact taping, before Jay Lethal came out, Kevin Nash got on the mic and told the crowd that if they would just chant for Jay Lethal, he'd donate $1000 to charity-Jeremy Borash then got on the mic and said something to the same effect.

Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt v. Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin was taped for Xplosion recently, and I guess nobody was selling, and the match was really really fast paced, and Konnan & Jim Cornette told them after the match that they needed to slow it down, but they told Konnan & Cornette that Jeff Jarrett advised them to wrestle this way, as he thinks the X Division is "like a video game".

Konnan was told for the last time recently that Senshi can't join LAX, as they don't think he could work a non X Division match/main event style matchup.

TNA Impact Spoilers:

(1) “War Machine” Rhino, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle defeated Serotonin members Kaz, Havok and Martyr (Frankie “the Future” Kazarian, “Hotshot” Johnny Devine and “Maverick” Matt Bentley.)

(2) Austin Starr defeated “Showtime” Eric Young.

(3) Jerry Lynn and “Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm (w/ “the Pride of Tennessee” Jacqueline Moore) was ruled a no contest.

(4) NWA World Heavyweight champion “the Instant Classic” Christian Cage and “the Phenomenal” AJ Styles defeated Abyss and Sting.

Smackdown Spoilers

Dark Match:

- The Miz d. Kofi Kingston

Smackdown:

- They announced Undertaker and Batista vs. King Booker and Finlay as the main event.

McMahon opens the show bragging about cutting Eugene's hair. He then says Bobby Lashley will wrestle on SD tonight against..... Mr. Kennedy. They started to lower the mic for Kennedy - but then didn't. Kennedy comes out and McMahon does the 'Mr. Kennedy... Kennedy' routine. Then Vince says Lashley will actually take on 2 men and the second will be....... Randy Orton. After Orton gets in the ring - Vince climbs the second turnbuckle and does the Orton pose. Orton and Kennedy try to thank McMahon - but he points out they neither of them could get the job done by themselves against Lashley - so they better get it down together. The match will be.... a 2-1 handicap - TABLES MATCH. McMahon leaves and they argue - then leave.

- Brian Kendrick and Paul London (with Ashley) defeated MNM to retain the tag team titles when Kendrick pinned Mercury.

Krystal interviewed Kane who has his hook with him and says something intimidating.

We are back with Maryse welcoming us

- Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero in a non-title match.

Time for a tribute to the late great Arnold Skaaland.

Back with a promo for "The Condemned"

MVP comes out and says his opponent this week is the Lichtenstein Heavyweight Champion, Cedric von Hopps. CVH does the JOB for MVP who then cuts a promo on Benoit.

Up next - Orton and Kennedy vs. Lashley. Kennedy is out first - the mic starts down - but then is taken back up and not used - weird. Orton and then Lashley enter and the handicap tables match is on. Lashley must put both men thru a table for the win. McMahon comes out to watch and make great facials at ringside. Lashley puts Kennedy thru a table in the corner. A second table is set up in the ring. Lashley picks up Orton for the powerslam - and............... the table doesn't break!!!! Lashley picks him back up and as he does - one of the legs of the table gives so the table is slanted now. He goes for the powerslam again. The other legs give out and the table never breaks. The bell rings and Lashley's music is played. Lashley is announced as the winner - he celebrates - the lights on the crowd come up. Then suddenly gets out of the ring and goes for another table..... Time to do the spot right for post-production! He sets the table up - and just before picking Orton up again - off goes the music and down go the lights. Lashley powerslams him thru the table with more force - the spot works. The bells rings - Lashley again announced as the winner and the music is on again.

Krystal interview - this time her guest - Batista. He says he and UT will get along fine DURING their match tonight.... Uh oh! What could that mean........ Hmmmm.......

- Chris Benoit forces Gregory Helms to tap out.

I think it was around this point they announced the final inductees for the Hall of Fame - The Wild Samoans.

JBL leaves the announce table for some reason.....

Jillian comes out and tries to do the Kiss Cam gimmick... She gets booed and the people on the screen aren't kissing - so she sings for us. Whopee Fizz. In the back.... Batista is ready and the Main Event is next.... But then Booker says 'Hey Batista - I need to talk to you.' Batista stops and says 'What do you want?' Suddenly - and shockingly - Finlay attacks Batista from behind. He is laid out in the back - will he be able to compete in the Main Event???

Back from the break - JBL is in Teddy Long's office and has an idea for next week - a huge interview that only he can do. Hey Teddy - can I pretty please interview both Batista and UT in the ring at the same time!? Long says this is indeed huge!.... When did interviews become such a big deal - Mean Gene did them all the time... Anyway - Long says ok - and..... "This will be the biggest interview in the history of sports entertainment"

Main event time... Out come King Booker - then Finlay and then the entrance of the UT - always amazing in person! No Batista! Booker and Finlay control for a while - match goes back and forth - then UT gets things going until..... Finlay uses the shillelagh and gets DQed! It's a double-team on UT - until Batista's music hits and out comes Big Dave. Crowd goes nuts! Batista and UT turn things around. Batista has King Booker ready for the Batista bomb. Then UT has Finlay ready for the Last Ride. Up goes Finlay - then Batista throws King Booker into UT! What a message Batista has sent! He leaves the ring with all three other men laying motionless! UT gets up and seethes at Batista as we say so long from Cleveland!
